Magical Day (Stampin Up) Mermaid Birthday Card

I just love the Magical Day Stampin Up stamp set! So I wanted to create a card using the cute little mermaid!

I started by selecting coordinating papers.

I cut the card base to 5.5” x 4.25”
The second layer (the patterned paper) was cut to 4” x 5.5”
And lastly the card piece was cut to 3.25” x 11”

For the first card I scored the card layer in half and I then scored several lines to the half way line.

Using my ATG I taped all the layers together.

I stamped out the mermaid and the little seahorse and colored each in using some Stampin Blends.

I used a 2” circle punch to cut out the mermaid.

I put some tape on the back of the circle and I then added some thread.

I popped the big mermaid circle up on some dimentionals.

I fussy cut the seahorse out and added some rhinestones.

Stamped the sentiment on the inside.

I just love this super adorable stamp set!! I see a lot more Magical Day cards in my future!!

I made a few changes on the second card. Watch the video below to see those details.

Alternate Paper Pumpkin February 2018 (Stampin Up) Project Ideas

I received my very first Paper Pumpkin, a Stampin Up monthly subscription kit. (See the unboxing here!)

Before I thought outside of the box, I followed the instructions and made one of each card from this months Paper Pumpkin..

That was fun... but I wanted to see what else I could come up with!

Here’s what I created...

Head over to my YouTube channel or watch below, to see a little behind the scenes on how I created my alternate projects!

Jar of Love (Stampin Up) For You Card Set

I was looking through the Annual 2017-2018 Stampin Up Catalog, and I saw an adorable card idea on page 28 that used the Jar of Love stamp set, so I had to give it a try!

I decided to make a set of cards I could give away as a gift.

When creating this card I would ink up my stamp, stamp once on a piece of scrap paper and then stamp again (without inking my stamp back up) on my card base. Using the same color I would ink up my layering stamp and stamp on top of the first image. That is what creates the “layered” look. While I only used 3 different ink pads to create the flowers, it looks like I used 6!

This is definetly a beautiful, fast and easy card to make... as long as you remember to layer!

Lots of Lavender (Stampin Up) Card

Using the Lots of Lavender Stampin Up set, available now for FREE durning the 2018 Sale-a-bration, and of course some Stampin Blends to create these beautiful and simple cards.

I used my big shot and a Tm Holtz Thinlit die to create the cut out portion. One card I popped the white layer up on some dimensional and the other, I simply taped it down with tear tape.

I used sentiments from two different Stampin Up sets and of course, added some string behind to give a little extra texture.

A Thinking of You Card (with the help of my assistant)

I went live on Instagram with the intent of making a quick card.. Scarlett was helping... so it wasn’t as quick as I’d hoped it would be... but it turned out cute, or as Scarlett says “amazing”.

I’ve got to say, I am LOVING the Stampin Blends by

Love Message In A Bottle

Just because it’s a Valentine’s Day card doesn’t mean it has to be pink and girly... I attempted to make a Valentine’s Day card that could be gifted to anyone. I am pretty happy with the results.

For this card I use the Message In A Bottle stamp set as well as a few of the Stampin Blends alcohol markers from Stampin Up

I started by creating a A2 card base from a sheet of pool party card stock also from Stampin Up as well as a piece of plain white card stock (measuring 4 x 5.25) to layer on top.

I used my paper distresser around the edges of both my card base as well as my top layer.

Next I stamped my bottle image on the piece of white cardstock, using my Misti and grey momento ink.
I also stamped a second bottle on a clear sheet. (I ended up cleaning the ink off the clear sheet.. but that could be optional.)

I set my clear sheet aside to dry and went back to the white cardstock. I then took the love notes and added them to the bottle.

I created a boarder by drawing three messy boxes around the outside of the cardstock.

I used my Light Crumb Cake & the Color Lifter Stampin Blends around the edges of a few of the notes to give some depth and color.

I used hot glue and attached my clear bottle over the stamped bottle. I used a heat gun to help remelt any glue that hardened before I got the bottle attached. This made my clear plastic warp a little, but I didn’t mind.

Using my Light Pool Party and the Color Lifter Stampin Blends I created a blue glow around the bottle.

I stamped the cork out on a piece of scrap paper, fussy cut it out and added it to the top of the bottle with a little liquid glue.

Next I stared working on my sentiment. I cut out the sentiment and added some color to match the rest of the card using the same Light Crumb Cake And Color Lifter.

I used some double sided tape to attach some string to the backside of my sentiment and popped the whole thing up with some Stampin Dimensionals.
 '

Using my ATG, I attached the decorated card stock to the cardbase. I also used my Stampin Blends Pool Party Color Blends to color a few pearls and added them to the card as well.

Stamped my inner sentiment...

...and there you have it. A not so pink Valentine’s Day card!

Happy Valentines Day!!
